Bits and Pieces of My CNY

>> Sunday, February 28, 2010

Hey guys! Gong Xi Fatt Chai on this Chap Goh Mei and this means that Chinese New Year has come to an end. How was your celebration? Mine was awesome.

I shall not go in detail day by day because for those who are aware, my Facebook albums shows that I'm out everyday! I shall just briefly share with you some of the unforgettable(s) of my very own CNY this year.

Family
Reunion Lunch & Family Portrait
Lunch was nothing different compared to the ones we have every year but this time with ALL my relatives around, not missing a single one. After lunch, we headed to a "photo studio" for family portrait. To our surprised/disappointment, it's a rather NOOB "studio". I don't even call it a studio because it's a kedai runcit with a small space for shooting.

Lion Dance & Cousin Sessions
This year we arrived at my 2nd aunt's place late and we've missed the lion dance. The guys had their poker session with monopoly money. It was quite hilarious to see my uncles pressuring the young ones to go all in. LOL! In short, it was a good one although most of the cousins are abroad.

A reunion after so long since I met them, the KnK. The night before Chuang heads back to Tassie land, we went for dinner. Chuang picked me and Fatt joined us. It was a Jap dinner over at Menjalara before we headed to Short's place. It was a great one over there!

Goodbye

>> Saturday, February 27, 2010

This is a post specially dedicated to my good friend, Kelvin. He's departing at 1.20am later. Although we didn't really meet up during his trip back in Malaysia but I'm sure yesterday & today has been a great time for all of us!

* Yap family *

I cherish our 6 years of friendship. Now we're separated in different countries but I'm sure that we'll still keep in touch. We haven't been seeing each other since he left but that doesn't affect us at all.

Chopped the Unnecessary : Brand New Start

>> Friday, February 12, 2010

Hey guys! I'm back with a fresh start! Oh well.. For the past few weeks I have been hesitating if I should do anything to my hair? I didn't take any action till today. Not exactly a total makeover to my hair but I've chopped the unnecessary!

* not this kinda chop la *

**fast forward** At the saloon around 1.12pm after 40 minutes drive due to the heavy traffic over at jalan kepong. When I arrived, I waited for another 20 minutes till my turn as my stylist is quite in demand. The process began with the washing then the haircut. Oh well, I know I look weird now..

* after the 1st wash *

* after the cut *

After the cutting, the dying process began! After dying, washing.. AGAIN! And then, treatment.. Then, steam. Next, WASHING again! Gosh! Lastly, blow blow blow and tada! The final product!

* hair dye process *

* 2nd wash *

* some chemical which costs me RM30 *

* after the wash *

* Japanese treatment : RM130 *

* woo *

 * steam *

* my 3rd visit *

* 3rd wash *

* blow blow *

I'm having a family photo shooting over at the studio this saturday and my hair is so so short! What should I do? Leave it or pin it up just for the shoot? Do advice! =)

* pinned up *

* not pinned *

* THE COLOUR *

The whole thing cost me almost RM300. Really costly! Decided to do the treatment because my hair is quite dry lately.. Anyway, I'm quite satisfied! All chopped, brand new start! All set for CHINESE NEW YEAR!
